Cast & Crew Opportunities
We’re inviting actors and creative partners to express interest in Mālama kō Aloha — a narrative series rooted in paniolo culture, ʻāina stewardship, and contemporary Hawaiʻi.
Character Roles in Development
This project is in early development, and scripts or sides are not yet available. The roles below reflect characters currently in development. Age ranges are flexible, and we encourage submissions from actors who feel aligned with a role, even if not an exact match.
KAIMANA
Lead / Female / 30s–40s
Kaimana is the fierce, magnetic owner of a paniolo ranch in Kaʻū — proud, protective, and deeply bound to the ʻāina and her ancestral lineage. She carries herself with natural authority and quiet grace, but her temper is legendary. Passionate, uncompromising, and emotionally powerful, Kaimana is driven by a deep instinct to protect her people, her land, and what has been entrusted to her. She is a commanding presence — strong, volatile, and deeply human.
NĀWAHĪ
Lead / Female / 20s–30s
Nāwahī is Kaimana’s younger sister — intelligent, soulful, and spiritually grounded. Trained in traditional arts, she lives with quiet intention and emotional restraint. A teacher and writer, Nāwahī is observant and deeply attuned to history, land, and healing. Where others confront, she listens. Where others react, she tends. Her strength lies in compassion, discipline, and inner resolve, offering balance and insight amid rising conflict.
KAPONO
Lead / Male / 30s-40s
Kapono is a third-generation paniolo — quiet, capable, and deeply responsible. A skilled rancher and gifted musician, he carries the weight of family legacy, loss, and survival on his shoulders. Grounded and principled, Kapono believes in endurance, patience, and doing what must be done to keep things standing. He seeks balance and solutions that honor land, family, and community, even when those responsibilities pull him in opposite directions.
SUPPORTING ROLES
UNCLE SONNY
Supporting / Male / 70s
Uncle Sonny is a seasoned paniolo and respected elder — grounded, warm, and quietly wise. A lifelong horseman, musician, and storyteller, he carries family history with humor, compassion, and grace. Sonny believes love is a discipline, not a weakness, and offers guidance through lived experience rather than lectures. His presence steadies others, reminding them of meaning, memory, and what truly lasts.
KALEO
Supporting / Male / 30s-40s
Kaleo is polished, charismatic, and strategic — a successful entrepreneur who moves easily between boardrooms, politics, and ranch culture. Hawaiian with multiethnic ancestry, he speaks heritage fluently while translating it into systems of efficiency and scale. Charming and persuasive, Kaleo believes in leverage, optics, and timing rather than confrontation. He pressures others with “smart” solutions that challenge emotional and cultural resistance.
MARGARET (MAKALEKA)
Supporting / Female / 70s-80s
Margaret is a revered matriarch of the high-country ranchlands — elegant, grounded, and unshakeable. A master gardener, horsewoman, and cultural steward, she carries deep ʻike and quiet authority. Trusted with ancestral care and cultural protocol, Margaret embodies legacy through lived practice rather than performance. Her calm presence reminds others that stewardship is not ownership, and that the land remembers those who care for it.
ALEKSANDR VOLKOV
Supporting / Male / 50s-60s
Aleksandr Volkov is a powerful foreign billionaire whose influence operates through data, systems, and narrative control rather than force. Controlled, precise, and unsettlingly calm, he studies how places become stories and how stories become value. To Volkov, culture is something to structure and optimize, not belong to. His presence represents modern, invisible power — polished, strategic, and legally immaculate.
KAINOA
Supporting / Male / 30s-40s
Kainoa is a confident, grounded paniolo with deep roots in ranch life and rodeo culture. A champion roper and bronc rider, he is fearless in competition and humble everywhere else. Financially secure yet committed to working the land, Kainoa represents continuity between heritage and modern life. Loyal, steady, and quietly respected, he supports others through action rather than words.
