Meet our 2026 featured chefs

Our 2026 culinary lineup is taking shape. More featured chefs will be announced soon.

Chef Shaun Kahele will be cooking at the 2026 Paniolo BBQ

Shaun Kahele

Chef Shaun Kahele is a Native Hawaiian chef whose culinary journey has taken him from Hawaiʻi to Alaska, where he trained in classical French cooking while exploring Pacific Island, Asian, and American cuisines. As a restaurateur, he specializes in seafood, tropical fruits, farm-to-table cuisine, and locally sourced ingredients. His cooking blends diverse traditions while reflecting a deep respect for culture, place, and the natural abundance around him.
Chef Blaine K Duque

Blaine K Duque

Blaine K. Duque has been part of Hawaiʻi Island’s culinary community for nearly 30 years, cooking everywhere from Roy’s Waikoloa and Ruth’s Chris Steak House to longtime local favorites like Café Pesto and Kawaihae Harbor Grill. A North Kohala resident, he combines island flavors, local ingredients, and years of experience in every dish he creates.

Kathy Morris

Kathy Morris infuses every dish with aloha, guided by her belief that “more love, the better.” A graduate of the Culinary Institute of America who began her career at the Mauna Kea Hotel, she went on to lead fine dining kitchens along the Kohala Coast before bringing her creative touch to luxury homes across Hawai‘i Island — where fresh, local ingredients remain at the heart of her cooking.
