Junior Social Media Manager

We’re looking for someone organized, creative, and community-minded to help manage our Instagram and Facebook presence.

This is a great opportunity for someone earlier in their career who wants real experience working with a Hawaiʻi nonprofit and a professional producing team.

Position: Junior Social Media Manager (Contract)
Hours: 8–12 hours per week
Pay: $500-800/month (depending on experience)
Location: Remote ok — Hawaiʻi Island preferred

What You’ll Do

  • Schedule and post 3–4 posts per week (IG + Facebook)
  • Write captions based on guidance from our team
  • Create simple graphics when needed (Canva templates)
  • Edit short Reels from clips we provide
  • Respond to comments and messages
  • Help keep our page active, positive, and community-focused
  • Track basic analytics monthly

Our producing team will provide

  • Photos and video clips
  • Direction on messaging and topics
  • Overall creative guidance

This role centers on organization, consistency, posting, and thoughtful engagement with our growing community.

We’re Looking For Someone Who

  • Cares about community, culture, and mālama ʻāina
  • Is reliable and communicates well
  • Understands Instagram (Reels, Stories, engagement)
  • Has basic editing/design skills
  • Wants to grow their experience
